Workshop Fabricator/Welder

In this role, the Workshop Fabricator/Welder will produce medium to heavy structural and plate fabrications

Key Responsibilities
*Safety, environmental and quality Carry out fabrication work in accordance with the workshop/fabrication method statements; *Ensure the use of the correct PPE for general and work-specific tasks 

*We need a very neat welder who works reasonably quickly. 
*We need someone who enjoys working autonomously and can problem solve
*We need someone who is reliable
*We need someone who is easy to work with. You will be in a workshop with other team members who will be relying on the quality of your work. Needs to be able to easily talk with other team members and work through any quality/timeframe issues in a respectful manner
Must be very respectful of tools

Ideally, we would like someone with intermediate experience

Skills and knowledge
Welders need to have:
• knowledge of metals and their properties
• welding skills, including an understanding of different welding processes and equipment
• ability to interpret technical drawings
• knowledge of health and safety regulations.
