Roading Site Engineer

We are seeking a Roading Site Engineer . As the ideal person for this role you will be a tertiary qualified Site Engineer possessing solid experience within the New Zealand construction industry, specifically in new road build, and road maintenance projects.

Your primary responsibilities will involve (but will not be limited to):

• Contract and Staff Management
• Provide technical expertise
• Monitor and ensure proper implementation of Health and Safety policies and practices on job sites
• Conduct quality assurance assessments on a regular basis and identify areas for improvement
• Submit monthly plans and prepare monthly claims

You will be reporting to the Project Manager and be required to assist and oversee multiple crews. You will also have to liaise with sub-contractors where required. A solid understanding of earthworks, drainage and tar-sealing is compulsory. Additionally you should be self-motivated and be diligent, thereby being able to carry out your responsibilities with little supervision.
